I'm a writer specializing in Children's Literature, from poetry, picture books, middle grade to young adult fiction. I love bringing my writing to life by visiting schools, libraries, book shops and anywhere else where it brings a smile to someone's face and joy to their heart!
I was shortlisted for the Kavya Arts Prize in 2023 for my story which became my debut picture book, 'Abdullah's Bear Needs A Name!' out now (Sept 2025).
I was a writer-in-residence at St. Albert's Primary School. I contributed to the 'We Can Be Heroes' Project to promote diversity and inclusion within children's writing and publishing, which won the SAMEE Aspiring Writers Award and the Scottish Education Curriculum Innovation Award 2022.

I love visiting schools and libraries to talk more about how my books are impacting young people. I have worked extensively with the pupils, teachers and parents of St. Albert's Primary School as a writer in residence and a freelance writer. I also delivered sessions for Scotland's only anti-racist library.
I am happy to attend online and in person book and reading festivals. I read my work at Wigtown Book Festival and recently did a workshop at Edinburgh International Book Festival on Sunday 10 Aug 2025.
I can deliver a wide range of in- person and online workshops, and programmes for different audiences. I have created and ran multiple programmes for The King's Trust including Get Started in Creative Writing, and many events for Book Week Scotland.
I led a series of oral storytelling workshops for Woodlands Community Trust.
I am comfortable speaking in front of audiences and will be a panel speaker for the University of Strathclyde for an event to celebrate Black History Month on Wednesday 8 Oct 2025, 2-4pm. Book your FREE ticket below:
